A Phonological Study Of Cantonese Of Yangshan County In Guangdong Province

The Cantonese of Yangshan in Gangdong is the transition zone of the Cantonese in Guangfu Subgroup(广府片粤语)and Goulou sheet(勾漏片粤语),it’s more complex language features. In this thesis, Yangshan Cantonese voice as the research object, based on first-hand materials and previous studies, reference to Guangfu sheet Cantonese and Goulou piece, voice materials and related historical documents, the first comprehensive show in detail Yangshan Cantonese voice outlook. We focus reveals the consisitency and differences of Yangshan Cantonese dialect by internal comparing. And we conclude the processes and rules of the phonological evolution of Yangshan Cantonese dialect according to comparing with Guangfu Cantonese dialect and Goulou Cantonese dialect respectively.The text is divided into eight chapters. Chapter Ⅰ:Overview, introduces the Yangshan human geography, the basic features of the dialect, the Yangshan Cantonese voice status and purpose of this research, significance, methods and sources of material. Chapter Ⅱ, the Yangshan Cantonese voice system, describing the the Yangshan Cantonese phonological, a comprehensive exposition of the Yangshan Cantonese general voice characteristics. Chapter3, the Yangshan Cantonese voice consistency and differences, through an internal comparison, summed extract the internal consistency and difference of the Yangshan Cantonese voice, to showcase the Yangshan Cantonese voice connotation. Chapter4and5, respectively the Yangshan Cantonese and Guangfu piece Cantonese, Comparison of goulou piece Cantonese, from the point of view of the voice characteristics of combing the Yangshan Cantonese and two Cantonese closeness.
