A Study Of Aesthetic Implications Of "Xiang"as Image In Liu Yong’s Yue Zhang Ji

As for culture of "xiang’(香), its studies have some achievements in the academic circle, but studies of "xiang" as image of Chinese poem from the perspective of aesthetics are not numerous. This paper regards "xiang" as image in yue zhang ji(乐章集)as the object of the aesthetic study.There are three main parts in this paper as follow:first, according to the historical studies of the "xiang" as aesthetic category and aesthetic classifications of "xiang" as image in yue zhangji, I believe that "xiang" as image in yue zhang ji consists of "xiang" that is used to make females up, which is used to sacrifice ancestors, and which is floristic plants. Moreover,"xiang" that is used to make females up in Liu Yong’s poems is an important factors to generate aesthetic style of Liu Yong’s poems. Second, according to aesthetic studies of "xiang" as image which is included in flowery, encomiastic and bumpy poems in yue zhangji, I believe that "xiang" as image in yue zhang ji embodies the aesthetic characteristics of Liu Yong’s poem and Liu Yong’s aesthetic life. Third, a study of aesthetic Characteristics of "xiang" as image from the view of aesthetic organs, aesthetic culture and aesthetic imagery includes three main parts as follow:main aesthetic organ of "xiang" as image is sense of smell, which embodies plenty aesthetic culture, and which incarnates gentle, graceful, and harmonious aesthetic characteristics.
