| We know that cornmunication includes the speaker and hearer.According to the contents of the speaker, the hearer responds him/her.In the verbal communication of China and Japan,“是系â€words and"ã‚’ã†ç³»"words often appear as the language of response in their respective language. Sometimes there may exist mutual translation between them(Table4-1,Matsumura1991,).This thesis defines the‘是系â€ã€vords and"ã‚’ã†ç³»" words from the perspective of discourse function. The so-called“是系â€words refers to a series of words which include“是â€can be placed on the first word and respond to the lead sentence.“是系â€words can taken as response instead of sentence elements and can be a sentence by itself. They can indicate acceptance, judgement,Continue from the preceding paragraph, determination of the topic, transformation of the subj ect, promise, concession and irony.Such as“是â€,“是的â€,“是啊â€,“是å—â€and so on.The so.called"ã‚’ã†ç³»"words refers to a series of words which include "ã‚’ã†" can be placed on the first word and respond to the lead sentence."ã‚’ã†ç³»" words can taken as response instead of sentence elements and can be a sentence by itself. They can show evaluation, judgement, continue from the preceding paragraph, change the subject, determination as well as suggestion.Such as "ãã†ã§ã™ã‹ãã†ã§ã™"(ãã†ã )","ãã†ã§ã™(ãã†ã‚)",’ãã†ã§ã™ã‹(ãã†ã‹)","ãã†ã§ã™ã‚ˆ"and so on.Through the collection of information, there is a wealth of research data about the thing-in-itself of“是系â€words and "ãã†ç³»" words. However, the comparison of the“是 ç³»â€words and "ã‚’ã†ç³»" words is rarely discussed. Then it can be briefly introduced as follows, the former research about“是系â€words mostly from the perspective of the“是â€nature, the sentence patten, semantics, syntax of“是â€sentence, and achieved fruitful results. The former research about "ã‚’ã†ç³»" words mostly on its nature, classification, usage and pronunciation. By their nature, the main concern is on the attribution of“ãã†ç³»â€words.Now there are two views:one is regarding“ãã†ç³»â€words as echoed language (Fujihara(1993), chen(2001), etc.) The other is treating’‘ãã†ç³»â€words as response (Ousima(1995), Ekioka,Takubo(1992), Okamoto,Tamou(2002), etc.). Huang(2002) and Ijyoyu (2002) explored the mutual translation of“是系â€words and“ãã†ç³»â€words from a usage point of view. From the analysis of the previous study, we can find that there is still much research space in the field of the exploration of the differences and similarities about“是系â€words and "ã‚’ã†ç³»" words. Thus this thesis tend to discuss the differences and similarities of the two mainly from the aspects of form and function.First, make an investigation about the form of“是系â€words and“ãã†ç³»â€words, then draw the following conclusions:The same point:1) Both of them can follow the final particle (called the tone of the word in Chinese);2) They both have overlapping forms;3) Sentence or words can follow them;4) They can exist with the moving words;5)The tone words follow them can express different functions.Different points:there are honorific form and simplified form in Japanese, so“ã弓系â€ã€vords has a wider number of words then“是系â€words. The explorition on the function of“是系â€words and“ãã†ç³»â€words. This chapter refers to the views of Lv Mingchen (2000) and Zhao Cong (2006), draw on the similarities and differences in the function of“是系â€words and“ãã†ç³»â€words. The following are the conclusions:1)“是系’ã€vords and“ãã†ç³»â€vvords both have the function of "judge","continue from the preceding paragraph" and "change the subject". Under the same functional conditions, sometimes mutual translation can exist.2)“是系â€ã€vords has the functions which"ãã†ç³»"words lacks, such as "accept","promise","concess","anti-language" and so on;“ãã†ç³»â€words also has the functions which“是系â€words lacks, such as "evaluate","the introduction of topics"and"understanding","point out".3) In view of the changes about the respondents’ acceptance of information,(Figure4-1, Figure4-2),“是系â€words changes significantly from "positive response"in“ãã†ç³»â€words, no "negative response".The differences mainly due too the close relation between the characteristics of Chinese and Japanese.Summary section. Sum up the similarities and differences between the forms and functions of“是系â€words and“ãã†ç³»â€vvords. Then point out the limitation of the thesis and present the future subject. |
