With the ever-deepening international globalization and much often communication among countries in fields of politics, economics and culture, interpretation, as the communicative bridge between different languages, has become a basic inter-lingual communicative device, whereas interpretation has also become a significant and challenging occupation.As a result, any penetration into interpretation activity, no matter sight interpretation, consecutive interpretation or simultaneous interpretation, could provide the interpreters with more theoretical foundations and skills in practice.According to the unique phonetic and rhythmic characteristics, pure linguistic mechanism for interpretation study is inadequate, a reasonable approach for this kind of researches resorts to psycholinguistics and statistics.This report is based on data results of a recent interpretation experiment, with systematic analysis of the feasibility of reference and anticipation theory under the circumstance of consecutive interpretation, and related suggestions to MTI students as for the application of reference and anticipation theory.
