Suiyuan Region Agricultural Research During The Period Of The Republic Of China

Agricultural production is the process that people transform the materials in the nature into the basic means of livelihood for human beings, through the work of using land and other means of production. Therefore, the fundamental characteristic of agricultural production determines the leading position of agriculture in the whole human society. Suiyuan region is located in the border area. During the period of the Republic of China, people cleared vast tracts of land for cultivation. Mainland immigrants, as abundant supply of labor, brought means of advanced technology, which makes Suiyuan region develop rapidly.This thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter elaborates, from macroscopic perspective, basic conditions which was necessary for agricultural production in Suiyuan region. The second chapter detailed elaborates agriculture management model in Suiyuan region. Starting with the most basic means of agricultural production:agricultural population and cultivated land area, this chapter reflects the means of technology through the introduction of crop cultivation, irrigation, etc. The last chapter analyzes production relations of agriculture in Suiyuan region.Through the research and analysis of agricultural production during the period of the Republic of China, we can figure out the real situation of agriculture in Suiyuan region during the period of the Republic of China. At that time, we can also figure out the historical process in details of the whole Suiyuan region in the process of modernization.
