The Research On The Situation Of Islamic Faith Of Hui In Jiucun Under The Multicultural Background

Christianity, Buddhism and Islam are three major religions in the world.In2007the population of Muslim is about1.3billion in the world whichis the fastest-growing religions and more and more increasing influencearound the world. In our country, Islam is the religion of the Hui, Uygur,Dongxiang ethnic and the other7ethnics.It guids and affects the majorityof Muslims’lives. Among them, the largest population is the Huinationality which have the most widely distributed and most affected byIslam. For Hui, Islam represents not only a religion, but also representstheir lifestyles. It affects their religious and secular life and formedan unique ethnic customs of the Hui nationality.In Guangxi, the Hui population is about30,000, distributed in areassuch as Guilin, liuzhou, Baise. The population of Hui in Guilin is60%percent of the total population. Jiucun,a Hui nationality villageafflicated to Shanwei village, is located in Northwest Guangxi regionwhich are dominated by Han Chinese. The Islamic faith is at the core oftheir religious culture system, determined their religious life, such asreligious ceremonies, with guiding their mundane lives. Living mingledor dispersed area, Islam under the influence of other peoples andcultures.This article is used the anthropological research methods toinvestigate the religion of Hui in Jiucun, found certain change havetaken place about the Islamic faith under the influence of local culture,such as the religious consciousness and religious ceremonies and customs,and so on. The majority of Muslim belief is becoming more and more weaker.Although Islam as the core foundation of their cultural status has notchanged, but the influences on every aspect of Hui have changed, their awareness and the understanding of ethnic and religious are different formprevious. The article make a detailed analysis of the reasons andprospects of development about it.The thesis is consists of six chapters to discuss the status of Islamicfaith of Jiucun in detail. As an issue, the first part introduces themeaning and philosophy of research methods and summarizes the previousstudies. Part II provides an overview of the basic situation of Huinationality in Jiucun. Thirdly,through the specification about themosques, imam, the religious ceremony of Muslim to understand theIslamic custom of religious in Jiucun. Part IV, To analysis the reasonsand impact deeply about the belief in Jiucun under the multiculturalism.Part V, I proved the aspects of the series connection and renewal of Islamfrom the macro and micro perspective.Part VI, Conclusions and reflections.Face the alteration of faith along with the social development andchange, what kind of ways and attitude we should be based on towards thisphenomenon.
