Study On Application Of The Female Symbol In Contemporary Cultural Perspective In The Poster Design

The female symbols as a kind of cultural symbol is widely popular with the posterdesigners. Different period of the cultural attributes has direct influence on the display formof the female symbols. This paper chooses the contemporary sight this aspect to discuss theapplication of female symbols in the poster design. Choosing the female symbol as the mainobjects studied in thesis is because I have a great advantage in my own sex. Therefore, I’mmore interested in this subject, besides, with the rapid development of science and technology,the progress of society, the growing of female consciousness and the improving of female’ssocial position, and the uses of female symbol are also changing. Consequently it’s asignificant topic about the application of female symbols in contemporary sight in posterdesign. This thesis will analyze the subject of researching the female symbols incontemporary sight used in poster design progressively by the four aspects: the connotation ofsymbols，the female symbols in contemporary sight, the application of the female symbolsin contemporary sight and the application value of the female symbols in contemporary sight.Different cultural background will result in different aesthetic interest. Different social policywill result in different symbolic tendency. Different period of the trend in design will result indesigning forms. Therefore, we should resolve the concept of contemporary culture clearly,explain the application of the female symbols in contemporary sight distinctly and analyze thevarious forms of female symbols in contemporary sight. The female symbol in poster designeris not only a kind of visual symbols but also a kind of cultural attribute. The female symbolswhich have the particular sense of social culture and rich cultural connotations, or the femalesymbols which is various, changeable, glamorous, succinct and generous, or the femalesymbols which have rich values and various form of performance, or the female symbolswhich can completely stand for confidence, decision, toleration, courage and intelligence willnecessarily become the major element in the future poster design and absolutely lead the newfashions.
