This report focuses on the C-E translation process of the Anecdotes of the Nature as wellas the analysis of the translation skills. The author of the present thesis selected four excerptsin the collection with a total number of10000Chinese characters as the on-going translationtask. They include The Anecdotes of the Nature (自然笔记), The Cordyceps (冬虫夏草), TheRoots (根) and The Crescent Lake and the Echoing-Sand Mountain (鸣沙山月牙泉).The Anecdotes of the Nature is a collection of science prose articles.
