Korean has five-thousand-year-old history and culture. They had created a virtually infinite number of graphics by means of the ancient earthenware and the mural painting, building etc. The traditional design is about to reflect in modern graphic design, or be about to deform, or even if It is developed a new graphic design which is fitted by modern aesthetic feeling. It is an important role on demonstrating unity of Korean products, and stimulating the desire to by with customers at home and abroad, even creating additional value of product.The thesis is based on the origin of Korean traditional graphics and aesthetic characteristics, and also the investigates of fundamental type an d symbolic meaning. Finding out the traditional graphic is the "Second Nature" which is presented in universal concept of Korean Collective value and emotion, or the art which is showed by symbol mark. Graphic is a part of life art. Not only an appreciation object, but also the spell object which is carried on human wants and expect, or a symbolic modeling of medium which is presented to transmit the mode. The paper has been discussed performance form of Korean traditional graphic which is given priority to prototype, and performance form of Graphic design which is given priority to deformation. It is integrated with graphic design that reveal the National. Meanwhile, It presents the modern sense element which purposes the connection with past and present. In other words, it offers a good opportunity. Tradition is understudied Not only old but also modern. For this, the writer had specifically analyzed and explained graphic design works which are designed by him, moreover the other works. The traditional graphic is applied to wallpaper, mobile phone shell, clothing, etc. By mean of the symbol factors, they are established National Unity of the above-mentioned products. Moreover, it can product effect of environmental protection, also promote added value and competitiveness. It is worth mentioning in particular, performance form which is given priority to develop Korean traditional graphic, like cirrus, butterfly, and etc. And those traditional graphic is divided into representational form of romantic, simply repeat, gracious, gentle, dynamic, skilled and smart. Those produce slims, like handkerchiefs, dresses, bags, ties, sofas, curtains. Moreover, he clarified flexibility in the use of cultural value and economic value for traditional graphic design. The cultural value lies in:at first, it is prominent Korean Unity, and widely published regional image (also national image). And second, It can put forward to overcome the mode of thinking which is the west and Christian civilization-centred, also the drawback of machine civilization. Third, it can figure out the context which is based on the traditional graphic of traditional life. Consequently, it can link up the present and future. It makes broadening design cover, and contributing to improve designer’s creation.The economic value lies in:first, It can establish unity of countries and nationalities and brand image. Also it can create high value-added, and thus it can get the World Competitiveness. Second, traditional graphic is depended on Regional particularity. And on this basis it has been forming the autonomy, and thus it is equipped with worldwide value and modernity, expanding world market, creating economic value. Third, it has cultural characteristics of nationality. Therefore, it can create individual character products which differ from other countries. And it can promote the products’ brand value by means of communication with other countries.
