Since the research circle turned attention to research on space narration, the research on narration of text has entered into a new field. With the efforts of numerou researchers, the narrative analysis of novels is no longer confined to time dimension, but has extended to space, space structure, etc. of the text. In the novel, space, by virtue of its special strength, participates in narration, and eventually form the unique aesthetic value of the novel.Turkish writer, Orhan Pamuk, won Nobel Prize in literature in2006for the "new symbol of conflict and overlap among civilizations discovered in his search for the gloomy soul of his motherland." As a unique novelist in the literary world, he showcases his multi-aspect ability of narration in his novels. My Name is Red, as his representative work with rich meaning, presents the mysterious social history of Turkey, conflict and collision of east and west cultures as well as love and murder closely associated with such conflict and collision. The daily life spaces, divine space as well as the social history space presented in the novel text are symbol. Meanwhile, the numerous narrators and the unique space structure of the text all enable readers to find themselves in an entirely new world. This novel has the research value of space narration. These factors appear in the text by author’s meticulous arrangements, and then shape the beauty of melancholy, uncertain narration and sense of color in the text.
