Research On Stephen Zweig’s Political Biographical Works

Zweig’s Stephen was born in Vienna in1881. He is an Austrian, the jews, the writer, and a humanitarian fighter,also. He abhorred in politics, also does not belong to any parties. He never cares about politics. But after1929, he published in succession a series of political biograsphies,such as JosephFouche. Bildniseines politischen Menschen, Marie Antoinette. Bildnis eines mittleren Charakters, Triumph und Tragik des Erasmus von Rotterdam,and Maria Stuart. In these political biography works Zweig strictly in accordance with the authenticity of biographical writing. In his works, he describes both great glorious aspect, and ordinary people’s real life, these descriptions make readers feel real and deep in reading process. This thesis selected Zweig’s three political biographies from two aspects of the biography of the historical authenticity and literary writing as a starting point, exploring the political biography, the authenticity of his works, the writing emphasis on biography writing and writing story of human nature, so as to show as a writer, how Zweig, as a warrior by works to pay close attention to people’s life and fate of the world, how his biography fight for real service.
