It is also the product of a fiercecompetition between the modern natural science and AgamaSamawi traditions. In the words of deist, Nature is not only meansthe external unchanged rational rule, but also means the ethicalprinciples in man’s mind. In the same, with the deepening of theresearch works of Shen Congwen, Many researchers have found thatShen often mentioned the natural’s influence on his creation. Thispaper thinks that,“nature†in Shen’s creative concepts, aestheticideas and literary thoughts also contains the similar moral discoursewith the Deism.The introduction part will summarize previous studies inShen’s works. In the context of fully absorbing predecessors’researching results, this paper will put forward its own researchingperspectives; The first chapter will have a necessary introduction about Deism’s definition and its main ideas, so as to have a clearidea about this guiding ideology of the enlightenment’s basicstructure and its important positions. Besides, this part will proof theinternal relation between the Deism and Shen’s creative ideas. Thesecond part will have a detailed text analysis in Shen’s workXiaoxiao. This part will mainly analyze a few specific events whichhappened in the heroine’s life, so as to proofing the moralconnotation of nature and human nature.The next part will have a further analysis of Shen’s urban novels andnative novels, so as to elaborating the author’s rejection about all theunnatural stuff and his praise and faith in the nature. By this way,this part will have a further exploration about the work’s deismideas. The fourth part will place the theme of salvation both in thecontext of Deism and Shen Congwen’s works so as to have acomprehensive analysis. The paper will support the point that natureis not only a state of life which showing the “goodnessâ€, but also theonly way to uplift the human spirit.
