| Education is one of the fundamental factors causing the disparity in thedevelopment of different countries. With the aim of international cooperation andmutual assistance in education, the Chinese government has always been makinggreat efforts in helping its brother countries. The Education Aid program sponsored bythe Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and organized byNortheast Normal University is one of the strategies taken by China to illustrate thereform and development of education in China. In one of the seminars held in theuniversity for Primary School Principals from Developing Countries, TheConstruction Modes and Development Plans for the Featured Primary Schools inChina was delivered which was translated and interpreted by the author.This thesis is based on the analysis and reflections of the translation. Uponexamining the content and stylistic features of the original text, the author applies thetranslation theories, strategies and methods to analyzing the translation. The mainstrategies applied are foreignization and domestication, and also hypotaxis andprataxis considering the cultural differences. Specific examples are delivered bycombining the specific translation methods. Through the analysis, both advantagesand limitations of the translation are also included in the thesis.
