| Tianqin, a plucked string instrument of Zhuang nationality, also known as Ding, has along history and unique shape. It carries rich cultural connotations of people’s productionand life in Longzhou, and is the people’s national faith of “God†and spiritual belief.The traditional handcraft Tianqin embodies the pure wisdom of people in Zhuangnationality and profound culture of Tianqin. From the faith of animism to the concept ofpraying for blessing, the ancient instrument is passed down from generation to generation.With the popularity of “the group of women playing Tianqin and singingâ€, the traditionalhandcraft and the change of social character give a new living environment to Tianqin. Inthe local society, the environment for the culture of Tianqin is damaged. Under the impactof modern civilization, Tianqin lacks the young heirs. Because the old can not pass thehandcraft to the young, the traditional handcraft has been in a precarious situation.In this thesis, the author adopts the methods of documentation and technologyanthropology survey, and conducts in-depth interviews with the rural society, the pianoproducers in urban society, the local villagers, the artists and the government staff. Theauthor does a participatory research on the process of the traditional handcraft, introducingthe historical sourcesï¼›the production processï¼›the value of change and the traditionalculture of Tianqin. Based on the above analysis, the author holds that we should developthe pride of the whole nation under the guidance of the government. We should protect anddevelop the traditional handcraft of Tianqin based on a long-term vision. The purpose ofthis study is to fill the history blank of Tianqin and to enrich its cultural content with theperspective of History of Science and Technology. The study is also of great significance tothe promotion of China’s traditional culture. |
