Application Of Folk Culture In The Contemporary Urban Landscape Sculpture

There is an inseparable relationship between the creation of the contemporary urban landscape sculpture and folk culture. Folk culture depends on people’s habits, life, emotions and beliefs. Folk culture has a particular important position in people’s daily life, and it influences and penetrates the life of people in many ways. The paper studied the application and development of folk culture in urban landscape sculpture, and made detailed introduction of Northern shaanxi folk culture’s historical origin, development and its application in urban landscape sculpture. In the research, the main point of modern urban landscape sculpture combining with folk culture was reflected. Some personal views were tried to put forward and the research put emphasis on the influences of the local folk culture in the sculpture. The paper was written under the premise of physical landscape sculpture creation. So the paper took this as the breakthrough point, made a detailed analysis and discussed the relationship between folk culture and urban landscape sculpture.In allusion to representative cities in northern shaanxi yan’an regional culture and folk culture. Several field surveys were taken. Plenty of theory and the investigation data were collected and sorted. Combined with the case of the sports park in northern shaanxi wuqi city folk sculpture entities, the importance and universality of application of folk culture in urban landscape sculpture was analysed.Through the research of the application of folk culture in urban landscape sculpture, several main points was sumed up. The main points included geographical environment combined with the main point, the humanities environment combined with the main point, history and culture combined with the main point and folk culture combined with the main point. The paper reflected the importance of combining the modern urban landscape sculpture ornamental with traditiona lhistory culture. The purpose was that exploring urban sculpture’s inheritance and development of traditional culture and regional culture.
