With the improvement of China’s economic level and international status, moreand more foreigners become interested in Chinese language and cultures, and thenumber of Chinese language leaners grows with each passing day. Therefore,TCFL(teaching Chinese as a foreign language) flourishes as one of the nationalcauses and numerous Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms have emergedin many countries around the world. As a bridge between Chinese cultures andforeign cultures, TCFL shoulders a sacred and important mission. The teaching effectis a key factor which directly influences language communication and culturaltransmission. Teachers’ teaching behavior in class also plays a vital role in the studyof Chinese language learners and the effect of TCFL.This study is based on both my one-year practical teaching experience inKyrgyzstan as a volunteer of TCFL and the relative information I investigated duringthat period. And I have put all my authentic data into the study of the native Chineseteachers’ teaching behaviors in class in Kyrgyzstan-China College of NationalUniversity of Kyrgyzstan, in order to analyze the problems and to offer a proposal.Except the epilogue, this paper includes four chapters. The first chapter is anintroduction which mainly introduces the background of my topic, the purpose andsignificance, the status, the thinking and methods of this study, and literature reviewwhich is the basis of the following context. The second chapter is a study design,which includes the objects and methods of my study.In chapter three, I havedescribed the native Chinese teachers’ teaching behaviors in class based on myquestionnaires, and compared the similarities and differences among those teachers.While in chapter four, combining with practical classroom cases, I’ve discussed howto improve the quality of native Chinese teachers’ teaching behaviors and offeredrelevant feasible suggestions. In the epilogue, I make a conclusion and present theinnovations and defects.
