This paper aims at the micro level to grasp the Northwest Normal University (laterknown as the Northwest Normal University) campus language specific usage, and thenthrough the investigation situation awareness of the laws and regulations of the state’s macrolevel of college students, to understand the basic features of the Northwest Normal UniversityLanguage life. The two part of mutual influence, mutual control, find out difference, providereference material language planning for campus.The survey includes three aspects:(1) the students and understand parents the choice oflanguage, language of parents expectations are on children language selection will influence,whether this effect will lead to internal differentiation of family members of language use.(2)the university campus and the surrounding traffic indication of bilingual sign translationnorms, there are irregularities, corrected, presents some suggestions.(3) investigation ofknowledge through the national language of the laws and regulations, understanding ofcollege students on the relevant national language and identity, the status of the nationallanguage, the use of their own language, know approach to assessment of language behaviorand Chinese laws and regulations.The theoretical framework for the theory of language life, language planning theory andthe language policy theory.
