The rapid development of modern city drives the landscape construction. Though the urbanlandscapes sculpture, people feel the city’s history, spirit, culture and custom, etc. So the urbanlandscape sculpture has become the carrier of historical culture in the modern city.Urban Landscape Sculpture is endowed with the cultural by people. Thus the cultural resourcesare the nutrition of the development of urban landscape sculpture. The sculpture which containscultural element is more acceptable and can easier make people resonate with it. What’s more, theambience of the city will be more with the sense of humanity and culture under the sculpture’sregulation and influence. While designing a cultural intension work, it is necessary to combined thesculpture with people’s physical and mental feelings, aesthetic habits, manners and customs, and usea reasonable form of sculpture and expression method. The cultural intension work can not onlyestablish distinctive cultural brand image for the city, which promoting the construction of the city,but also make the culture be inherited and sublimated. It is both the responsibility of the sculptureartists and the development direction of the urban landscape sculpture to inherit the essence ofhistory and culture in a city environment with cultural ambience and unique lasting appeal.First, the writer analyzed the current situation of the landscape sculpture combined culture bythe examples of the actual cases and studied on the development situation of Chinese and foreignlandscape sculpture. The methods of harmonizing culture with landscape sculpture was discussedand a thinking of how to incorporated culture into urban landscape sculpture designing had beenproposed.Second, the main content of urban landscape sculpture designing, the way of expression,and the main artistic techniques of incorporating culture into urban landscape sculpture were cleared and pinpointed. It is proposed that the influencing factors of the effects of the urban landscapesculpture works are it’s natural and man-made environment, the size, color, and materials andprocessing of the work itself. Then, the relationship of culture, urban landscape sculpture and thefrom and function of culture in urban landscape sculpture were further demonstrated. It is proposedthat culture is not only a indispensable important content in the process of urban landscape sculpturedevelopment, but also a key factor of this artistic form’s persistent and healthy development. On thisbasis, analysis obtained the principles and methods of incorporating culture into urban landscapesculpture designing.At last, the landscape sculpture design examples inside the Second Ring Road ofXi’an city were taken as the main research object. There’s a further demonstration on the feasibilityof the method and principle of incorporating culture into urban landscape sculpture designing.Furthermore, a design pattern on incorporating culture into urban landscape sculpture designing wasconcluded.
