The Classical Significance And Insufficiency Of "Artistic Features Of Li Jinfa’s Poems" And "Artistic Features Of Shen Congwen’s Fictions" In The Modern Chinese Literature History

On the basis of analyzing Su Xuelin’s two pieces of quite famousliterary criticism about works of Li Jinfa and Shen Congwen and combing thehistory of modern Chinese literature, the author of this article tries to study theimpact of these two pieces of critical articles on the entire history of modernChinese literature writing, and to outline classic sense and insufficient about SuXuelin’s criticism.Text of this paper is divided into two compilations. The first compilationexplores the relationship between this literary criticism called "Artistic Features ofLi Jinfa’s Poems" and the history of modern Chinese literature writing. And thispart is mainly on the impact of the views, which is about the artistic features of theLi Jinfa’s poetry, in the history of modern Chinese literature building. Thiscompilation is divided into three. Section I is about the reference of this articlecalled "Introduction about Chinese New Literature Poetry" by Zhu Ziqing to thispiece of literary criticism called "Artistic Features of Li Jinfa’s Poems" by SuXuelin, and the influence that this reference brings about. Section II describes thespecific aspects on which the critical views of Su Xuelin affects the woks about theLiterature history wrote by Wang Yao and Tang Tao in1950s and1970s. Section IIIdescribes such a process, which is about how the authors of the history of themodern Chinese literary revealed Su Xuelin’s critical views the original appearanceafter1980s. The second compilation explores the relationship between this literarycriticism called "Artistic Features of Shen Congwen’s Fictions" by Su Xuelin andthe history of modern Chinese literature writing. The first section mainly describesthat critical views of "Artistic Features of Shen Congwen’s Fictions" affected thewriting of the history of modern Chinese literature in1950s and1970s. The secondSection argues the selective absorption that the woks of Literature history got fromcritical views of Su Xuelin. This section is divided into two parts. The first part mainly analyzes that how the critical views of Su Xuelin affected the writing of thehistory of modern Chinese literature, the second part explores the limitations of SuXuelin’s critical views.
