| This thesis is a research on the album Record of Annual Events and Activities,one of Wu Bin’s genre painting masterpieces, who is an important but ignoredChinese painter during late Ming Dynasty.The first chapter analyses the causes of the formation of Wu Bin’s fantastic andextraordinary paintings and researches his life age according to the existing materials.The second chapter traces the origin of lunar month, and compares two sets ofpaintings which have the same composition and differ in style by Wu Bin to combtheir correct order.The third chapter compares with other two sets of lunar month paintings in QingDynasty to analyse its features of theme-selected. Meanwhile, twelve different monthstories are reviewed and sorted.The last chapter analyses Wu Bin’s architectural landscape from the architectualperspective to emphasize the significant role of architecture in the space structure ofhis painting. |
