Judgments of learning (JOLs) refer to the prediction of memories achievementsof materials that individual had learned in subsequent tests. JOLs are a important partof metamemory monitoring, and it related to allocate learning time and adjustprocessing strategies during the individual learning process. JOLs’ indicators aremagnitudes and accuracy of JOLs, and they reflect the ability of individual predicteand monitor knowledge what they have learned and skills. The judgment of learningreceived more and more attention by researchers. Perspective from highly effectivelearning, the research studies the Impact of memory method to the JOLs.In this study, primary school students were subjects, Chinese nouns wereexperimental material, JOLs’ magnitudes and accuracy were dependent variables, andit choosed a2(relearn and test)×2(item-by-item JOL, aggregate JOL and memoryperformance) mixed design. The research used JOLs’traditional paradigm to exploredthe impact of memory method to the JOLs. Depending on the time of JOLs, the studydivided into two experiments, and depending on the mission of JOLs, both experimentdivided in immediate JOL and delayed JOL.The conclusions of the research showed that:1. There was significant difference between relearn and test on the accuracy ofJOLs, and the accuracy of JOLs in the group of test is higher than the accuracy ofJOLs in the group of relearn.2. There was not significant difference between relearn and test on themagnitudes of JOLs.3. There is a aggregate effect, that is aggregate JOL’s magnitudes is lower thanthe item-by-item JOL’s.4. There is a delayed effect, which is the delayed JOL’s accuracy is higher thanthe immediate JOL’s. |
