| Nowadays, the research for domestic art colleges teachers is still in the stage of start, and lack of systematization. Copy is more than innovation and development, also summarizing is more than conceiving. Especially, the evaluation index of art colleges teachers is more lack of systematization, and with old research method like data collection, then get a result upon personal experience. There are few people to empirically research on evaluation index’s selection and weight for art colleges teachers until now on, so the research results are short of scientific basis.This article is from the point of evaluation subject to treat the design issue of evaluation index’s construction and weight, and it’s a comprehensive process. Teachers(teaching, researching, creating) as research subject, analyze art college’s features to find out the existing problems, and list all the indexes out, expert advice and feedback to identify specific evaluation, questionnaire design for reliability and validity testing to determine the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, issue questionnaires to art colleges teachers, and figure out each index’s weight through analytic hierarchy process, scaling etc. After comparing examples, it shows that the evaluation index system of art colleges teachers researched in this article is realistically, with the advantages of fair and accurate.This study found that it’s necessary to classify art colleges teachers upon different evaluation indexes, there are many differences for teachers in different stages, we have only to show those differences by numbers, it would be more scientific and developmental for evaluation, and which would also be more beneficial to ensure the development of art colleges.Generative-instructional teachers mainly examine in Teaching, and lower in Scientific research and creation of index. Mostly base on quality and quantity of teaching, and change the emphasis both in results and reform in the different stage. The evaluation index system of art colleges teachers is more close to practice than the old one as tell in this article. The evaluation of Art exam incarnate the teacher potential and the trendy, then make a more better evaluation in teachers comprehensive abilities, rather than score by the article quantity.Researching teachers mainly examine in researching, but it not means the teaching index weight is lowly, researching teachers should also pay their attention on teaching. In different stage, papers and publications are the basic concerns, after this, they will pay more attention on research project’s quality and quantity. When they at a certain stage of growth, they will think a lot of team’s contribution and sustainable development.Creating teachers mainly examine in creating. It’s similar with researching teachers, teaching also as the basic examination content, outside of teaching, we pay more attention on the quantity and quality of artistic creation. When they at a certain stage of growth, they will turn their attention to combination of creation with society and transformation.The research thoughts and methods for evaluation index system of art colleges teachers have been proposed in this article. it’s not only apply to art colleges teachers, but also can be used to build indexes for other colleges teachers, and this solved some special with targeted problems about teacher evaluation too.
