As a unique word category of Sino-Tibetan language,the individual quantifier is theembodiment of the particular thinking habits and national spirit of Han nationality. Due to itsuniqueness and abstraction, Individual Quantifier Teaching is not only an introductory coursefor the quantifier teaching of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, but also the difficultyand key teaching points of it.In order to solve the difficulty of Individual Quantifier Teaching and with the guidance ofthe cognitive linguistic theory, we start with the research on the individual quantifier bodyand explore the characteristics of the body of individual quantifier thus find out the specificindividual quantifiers that we should master in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Afterthat, we meet some problems and difficulty in the individual teaching of teaching Chinese asa foreign language,according to which,conducted a detailed survey as well as borrowed theresults and analysis from previous surveyors, we summarize out the reasons. At last, basedon the characteristics and the existing problems of the individual quantifier and its teaching,we are trying to put forward some reasonable and targeted suggestions for the IndividualQuantifier Teaching.In total, the paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the originand the general research methods as well as the research on the naming and classification ofthe quantifiers. The second chapter sorts out the produce and its development of individualquantifier mainly under the guidance of the cognitive linguistic theory. We also introduce thesemantic of the individual quantifier and pragmatic features by the combination of individualquantifier teaching. The third chapter mainly adopts questionnaires to assess the effect of theindividual quantifier teaching in both Chinese classrooms and foreign classrooms. The fourthchapter summarizes the two main difficulties and the reasons in teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage based on the results of previous surveys and studies. The fifth chapter puts forwardsome suggestions for individual quantifier teaching with the previous research and analysis of individual quantifiers. The last chapter is the conclusion.
