| In recent years, television stations attache more importance on the immediateness of news broadcasting, that is why simultaneous interpreting (SI) is increasingly used in live coverage on breaking news or high-profile news events. Being a news practice in China, TV SI still has many problems and shortcomings. The increasingly fierce competition in TV industry propels the TV news organizations to improve the quality of their programs from all aspects including a more professionalized TV SI. Based on the analysis of the characteristics and problems of TV SI in China, the writer of this thesis discuss the feasible way to professionalize TV SI from the aspects of TV news organizations and interpreters, especially on the training of professional TV interpreters. |
