The Research On Eastern Han Disaster Literature

In Eastern Han literature, there are more than160literary works involving natural disasters, including the poetry, ballad, ode, edict and memorials, etc. In contents, they cover the aspects such as the description of disaster scenes, disaster view and the writer’s emotion, etc. The study on Eastern Han disaster literature, on the one hand, can make us have a more detailed understanding of Eastern Han literature, on the other hand, can also help us understand Eastern Han people’s thoughts, emotions and living conditions.This paper focuses on the creation background, the creation content, literature characteristics, influence and status of Eastern Han disaster literature. From different aspects, the Eastern Han literature is analyzed. It is mainly divided into four parts:The first part summarizes the creation background of Eastern Han disaster literature from three aspects which respectively are the situation of natural disasters, the literary creation and ideological basis of Eastern Han disaster literature. The natural foundation, literary foundation and ideological foundation of Eastern Han disaster literature are summarized to display a three-dimensional literary creation background of Eastern Han disaster literature.The second part classifies genres and summarizes the content of Eastern Han disaster literature. The representative ones are selected and many poetries, odes, edicts and memorials are summarized. The Eastern Han disaster literature with different genres has different ways of expression means and emotion expression and the main contents of Eastern Han disaster literature are summarized. Contacting with the continuous development of the Eastern Han society, politics and literature, from different angles, the development and changes of Eastern Han disaster literature are explored.The third part analyses the characteristics of Eastern Han disaster literature. The emphasis of this part is the emotion in literary works, the expression means to describe the disaster scene and narrate disaster events, as well as the overall style of Eastern Han disaster literature. The fourth part evaluates the influence and status of Eastern Han disaster literature. For Eastern Han, the Eastern Han disaster literature not only enriched the literary creation of literature field, but also directly or indirectly affected the development of other culture and art. For the later generations, the values and writing techniques of Eastern Han disaster literature provided nutrients for Northern and Southern Dynasties’literature and influenced the development of life and death theme, fairy theme, its southern dynasties, reclusion theme.Through the study on Eastern Han disaster literature, this paper presents the features of Eastern Han disaster literature from one side, enriches research work on Eastern Han literature and build a framework for disaster literature research.
