Study On Micro Movie Under The Context Of Post-modernism

With the rapid development of new media, contemporarily China has entered theso-called "Micro Era". In which, those short but rich in the flavor of the times andcultural contents micro films especially catch people’s eyes and show theirdistinctiveness. As a new form of film art, this kind of film arouses widespread socialconcern and participation, which has become one of the typical examples in “MicroEra". It even makes a great impact on the new media platform, attracting differentacademic scholars to analyze and study it. At the same time, post-modern culturalphenomenon is brought into our country with strong vitality, and has importantinfluence on the fields of culture and arts in China. One major influence of which isits change and impact in China’s art of film. This kind of influence and impact also hasa big impact on the emerging micro films. Based on such a social and culturalbackground, this paper is going to explore the narrative features, communicationfeatures, visual features and cultural characteristics of micro films under the context ofpost-modernism, so as to find a suitable way and mode for the development of microfilms, making it become more adapted to the current postmodernism and the newmedia environment, and then to promote the development of micro film in thelong-term.In addition, the study of micro films is put under the post-modern context which isdifferent from limitations of other literature in the analysis of traditional film art or itsinnovation, and also different from other literatures limited in the single analysis onmicro films and postmodernism. Instead, the paper combines the micro films and thepost-modern cultural phenomenon together, so as to explore the characteristics ofpost-modern micro films, as well as the development of micro films in the context ofpost-modernism. This not only makes distinctions from the perspectives of previousresearches to add certain meanings in innovation, but is also beneficial to expandingthe scope of both the micro films and postmodernism the study, possessing importantacademic values and significances. What’s more, it is also conducive to promoting theprogress and development of micro films under post-modern cultural background,having certain practical significances.
