With the growing number of Chinese learners, many schools have set up theChinese as a foreign language course, for the primary learner, a good way of teachingmethod can lay solid foundation for future learning. In view of the particularity ofprimary spoken class of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, situational teachingmethod occupies an important role. Primary learners in language express have a bigcontrol, can’t accurately express the content they want to express, how can we use thefastest and the most efficient way to improve oral English skills is a problem for theteachers to think seriously about. The teaching materials of primary oral class aredaily life, actualization, therefore in the teaching process we should especially applythe content to life, for junior learners, the language are new to them, the expressionability is limited. And situational teaching method just solve the student’s confusion,give them appropriate teaching situation, on the basis of the understanding ofimitating practice and free expression, guide the students speak and practice more andmore, increase the rate of opening and using the knowledge in the life, stimulate theinterest of students in learning Chinese. In this paper, it is introduced the situationalteaching method in detail, and analysis the characteristic of the primary oral class andthe existence question. Finally, the author introduced the situational teaching methodand the application in this method.
