As one of the earliest culture of human, painted pottery has been the expert scholarsresearch object. Its mystery, rich, and features such as very long time always inspireresearchers continue to explore. But due to the long time span, history is long, less dataquantity factors, such as the difficulty is big. Existing research mainly from the Angle ofthe artistic origin and image interpretation.This paper breaks through the previous study of painted pottery culture direction,and focus on the combination of the ancients "psychological", from its colour, modelling,painted pottery, and ornamentation of ancients "psychological development" for theanalysis of the system. The content of the paper applied psychology to explain some ofthe painted pottery culture phenomenon, and it is concluded that the pioneers of the"psychological stage of development in the human childhood" conclusion.
