As a miracle in history of literature in Yuan Dynasty, zaju of the YuanDynasty with particularly artistic achievements plays an important role inChinese history of literature. Among the various kinds of writer community,dramas of the anonymous writers, especially the family ethics dramas arefocused by educational circles recently. This thesis is based on the entire YuanQu, regards Yuan zaju as a centre, states its contents and combines the theory ofrole pattern of Algirdas Julien Greimas who is a famous linguistician in westerncountries to explore the family ethics zaju of the anonymous writers.There are four chapters: Chapter one is about the definition of family ethicsdramas from the study of previous scholars and points out their deficiencies.Next, the author is based on Wang Jisi’s Entire Yuan Qu, chooses existingcomplete zaju of the anonymous writers in Yuan Dynasty, classifies two typesand lists out: zaju of love and marriage and zaju of family affection and dispute.Chapter two is about the types of zaju of love and marriage. They are lovestories about gifted scholars and young ladies, love stories about gifted scholarsand ordinary women, love stories about gifted scholars and whores. Accordingto compare and study on those three kinds of works, the author thinks that themain way of acting is regarding the heroine as the lead singer. Even though theending arrangement, the hero’s loyalty and appearance of some rich or officialcontenders are different with the legend of the Tang Dynasty, the narrative modestill follow the mode of gifted scholars and beautiful ladies. Chapter three isabout dramas of family affection and dispute. The author divides those dramasinto four types: dramas about moral principles, dramas about acting the familydisputes, dramas about revenge and dramas about poor scholars’ gaining fameand fortune. Those dramas reflect the conflict between development ofcommercial in Yuan Dynasty and economic interests and challenge relativeemotion relationship kept with blood relationship. Chapter five is about the analysis on "role pattern" of the family ethics dramas of anonymous writers inYuan Dynasty. This chapter using the famous linguist gray’s theory of the "rolemodel", from "leading role and object","assistant and adversary","supportersand to bear" three aspects of family drama of yuan dynasty anonymous "rolemodel" for analysis. Through the study found that family drama of yuan dynastyanonymous vivid plots and narrative in the plot, theatre, good stage and viewand admire a gender.
