Research On The Present Situation And Problems Of The Representative Inheritors Of Beijing Municipality-level Intangible Cultural Heritage

As it is known that the inheritors of cultural heritage are the carriers and transmitters of intangible cultural heritage, the preservation of the heritage lies in the protection of their inheritors. Representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage project are the outstanding representatives of the inheritors, and they are officially recognized by the government, and are representative, authoritative, and influential. The status of their living and protection is vital to the inheritors of a larger amount of intangible cultural heritages. Therefore, research on their status has a significant meaning to the heritages’preservation.In this paper, the research subject is the representative inheritors of Beijing municipality-level intangible cultural heritage, which is level one of the intangible cultural heritage Protection system in China. With the cultural context and characteristics of Beijing’s intangible cultural heritages, this paper examines the status of recognition of Beijing municipality-level intangible cultural heritage’s inheritors, along with their living and inherit situations. Suggestions on protection problems will perform an inspirational function to other levels of the intangible cultural heritage Protection in our country and will benefit the improvement of the inheritance mechanism of intangible cultural heritage as well as a sustainable process of intangible cultural heritage protection.
