A Comparative Study On Chinese And Soviet Ideology Construction And Enlightenment

The Soviet Union collapsing in1991was a great blow to Chinese whohave the belief in communism. It also weakened their beliefs in Marxism. And thebreakup also attracted the great attention of the Communist Party of China. Thereare many reasons for the analysis in Eastern Europe. At home Soviet CommunistParty were corrupt. In aboard peaceful evolution of Western hostile forces alsoplayed an important part. It also could result from the Soviet Union implementingsocialist system stiffly and corruptly and its disordered management in theideological field causing instability. Because the ideological system has alwaysbeen the important battle field in the mechanism, The success of the ideologicalconstruction work determines the long-term and stable leadership of the ruling party,is also related to a country’s security and social progress.At present, the international situation is complex. With the success of theWestern capitalist forces carrying out "color revolution" strategy for somepost-modern socialist countries, China is forced to become the next important goal ofa peaceful evolution of Western hostile forces. Now China is the focus of the"ideology" struggle. Owing to this complex environment, China has been pushed tothe forefront of the ideological struggle in the world. And China must have a goodfight in this war waged on a smokeless battlefield.In this paper, the author did the research from the perspective of the conduct ofthe ideological construction work in the Brezhnev era. In order to find the similaritiesand differences, the author combined the ideological construction work of twodifferent nations together through the comparison of the background, environment,characteristics of the times, political characteristics, cultural characteristics andthe present dilemma of the ideological construction work with those in China’s reform and opening up, and the comparison of the objective evaluation of the formerleaders in two countries. As the saying goes," seek differences in similarities whileseek similarities in differences, learn from history and have a lesson". The authorhopes that the research can provide a certain valuable solutions to the ideologicalconstruction of socialism with Chinese characteristics ultimately.
