| As a common pragmatic translation, tourism translation has great practicability. Tourism translation aims at delivering information to travelers and attracting them, however, sometimes the translated materials can’t be fully understood by foreign travelers. The main reasons are that the translator doesn’t take the huge cultural gap between the eastern world and the western world into consideration and the different language characteristics between Chinese and English.The usage of words, sentence structure and rhetoric of the source language are distinct from those of the target language of tourism translation, which reflects the diversity of respective thinking mode and the different information arrangement. Therefore, the principle of tourism translation should be emphasis on practicability. The cultural information should be effectively delivered rather than fully delivered, which demands that the translator should take the readability of the source and the acceptability of the reader into account. Translating while creating, requires translation variation in place of full translation. In the thesis, the author states how to use translation variation translate tourist text through the works assigned by the teacher and Taibai Mountain Tourism Manual. |
