Research On Xie Juezai’s United Front Thought During The The New Democrat Revolution Period

The united front is a magic weapon of the Chinese revolution and construction.In order to obtain the victory of the revolution and construction,the CPC must uniteall possible revolutionary classes and strata in all sorts of different circumstances,organizing a united front. During the new democratic revolution period, the elderproletarian revolutionist Xie Juezai attaches great importance to the development ofthe united front in his practice of revolution. For the alliance of the workers andpeasants, Xie Juezai proposes never ignore the second Union policy under theleadership of the CPC. The policies on the poor peasants and farm laborers andmiddle peasants, rich peasants and landlords are different in various periods. For theKMT, Xie Juezai uses all factors for the unified battle line in the upper class,meanwhile never ignores the united front of the lower class. For the middle forces,Xie Juezai points out that in the society with the ends being small and the middlebeing large, the middle forces is related to the success of the Chinese revolution. Inthe revolutionary practice, he puts forward to the strategy of making friends with themboth in political and daily life. Moreover, Xie Juezai attaches great importance to theminority of unified battle line work and proposes the national autonomous nationalpolicy. Rather, Xie Juezai points out that the so-called "national war" war ofresistance against Japan cannot be successful without the efforts of the women whichaccounts for half of the population, he emphasizes that there should be a politicalprogram and also stresses the innovation of them, in addition, such women would beput into the revolutionary practice.During the new democratic revolution period, Xie Juezai proposes different jointpolicies for various classes in different periods under the leadership of CPC, whichforms the united front strategy of his own. It can be concluded as following: firstly,the unity of the CPC is the premise of united front work; secondly, the principle isseeking unity in the struggle which means different policies should be taken indifferent periods for various classes, especially for the bourgeois; thirdly, all factorsshould be used to promote the strengthening of the united front, especially the MDCand the public opinion factors in developing the united front. Xie Juezai’s unitedfront policy is the inheritance and development of the party’s united front theory, theunited front methods and strategies provide significant experience for Chineserevolution and construction as well as the launching of the unified battle line in thefuture with a certain reference.
