Study On The Marxist Theory Of Basic Social Contradictions

As the basic content of historical materialism, the theory of Marx’s social basic contradictions is the key to scientifically understand the development of human society. And human society advances under the effect of social basic contradiction and its regular development. It’s impossible to have a thorough understanding of historical materialism if we cannot gain an insight into the theory of Marx’s social basic contradiction, let alone have a scientific understanding of the rules of social development and the prospects of human progress.From Marxist classical writers to the four leading groups of our party, the theory of Marx’s social basic contradiction develops gradually. Researches on this theory undergo a historical process from the very beginning to a deep stage and fruitful results are found. However, the academic research is limited to the theory framework on the theory of Mao Zedong established the basic social contradictions and cannot move on. Now the many versions of textbooks of Marxist philosophy all follow this theory and the theory has sunk deep into the hearts of the people through teaching. Throughout all the research results on Marx’s social basic contradiction, it can be seen that the current relevant researches have not decoded the textbook of Marxism thoroughly and this may result in bias and oneness in people’s thinking. So, the author, on the basis of reading the original texts of Marxism, attempts to find out and sort out the scientific statement of Marx’s social basic contradiction so as to get to the bottom of the theory and get rid of effects of textbooks. This paper aims at making known the theory of Marx’s social basic contradiction fully and accurately. The paper consists of three parts.The first part is about the literature review of the theory of Marx’s social basic contradiction. This part states the basis of the selected topic, the meaning and the method of this research. It focuses on the academic researches of the Marx’s social basic contradiction.The second part sorts out the theory of basic social contradictions in Marxist classic literature. The author, after having a deeper reading of these literature, summarizes the social basic contradictions of Marxist classical writers and the four leading groups of our party.The next part develops the theory of Marx’s social basic contradictions. In the view of the theory of Social Organism, by combining globalization and China’s current changes, the paper fully analyzes the current theory of Basic social contradictions and reveals the practical evidence of the development of the current theory of Basic social contradictions.Using the method of abstract to concrete, the author clearly states that the Marxism basic social contradictions should be expanded to four basic social contradictions from the traditional two basic social contradictions consisting of the contradiction between the productive forces and production relations and the contradiction between the economic base and superstructure. And the four basic social contradictions consist of the contradiction between social being and social consciousness, the contradiction between population and the natural environment apart from the traditional two contradictions. Taking our country as an example, the author briefly clarify a rough way of solving the four basic social contradictions.
