Granitoid rock, which is an important part of the continental crust, is one of the mostwidely distributed rock on the continent. There is abundant information of the crust ingranitoid rock. Through the research of granitoid rock, we can well understand the deepcrust, and also get some instructive suggestions to the mineralization in granite areas as itis closely concerned with the origin of various metal deposits.Recent years many large and medium-sized mineral deposits have been found in thecenter and southern of Greater Khingan Mountains. The question that the deposits arecontrolled by Jurassic granite, Cretaceous granite or Permian granite has been the focus ofthe debate. There are different deposits in different periods of granite. The research area ofthe paper is located in the center and southern of Greater Khingan Mountains, whereJurassic granite is well devolved. The origin of vein rocks in the research area is concerned with magma activity ofeach period. Magmatic intrusion accompanies with the occurrence and development offractures, thus, many vein rocks are developed nearby the fractures or in the contact zones, inside or outside of the rock mass. Powerful and frequent magmatic rocks activities in theresearch area mostly happened in the Mesozoic. The intrusive rocks of this period aremainly granitic rocks and vein rocks, which invaded into the Jurassic or Permianstratums.Basing on the field geological survey and laboratory study, the paper elaborateson mineral compositions and rock types of Jurassic granite in the research area. Throughresearch, we can confirm rock types and component characteristics of normal granite, granite porphyry, biotite granite and granodiorite. Combining with predecessor’s researchdata and through further research to the rock properties and geochemical characteristics ofgranitic rocks, the paper suggests that granite in the research area is of type A.Furthermore, after discussing the tectonic environment of granite and analyzing therelationship between granite and ore-forming materials, we have ascertained the type ofgranite, which is favorable for mineralization. Thus, the research has vital significance tothe study of regional metallogenic regularities.
