With the development of ultrasonic transducer, ultrasound technology is more and more widely applied in industrial field. Ultrasonic cleaning, ultrasonic bonding, and ultrasonic generator and other applications have showed a promising development prospect of ultrasonic technique.Nowadays, the difficulty of developing ultrasonic transducer is the frequency automatic tracking technology based on ultrasonic irradiation. The ultrasonic transducer has an resonance frequency, and only if at this frequency, the transducer would work stably and most efficiently. But the resonant frequency of the transducer would change due to the temperature, environment and component aging. So it is needy to study the work process of the transducer, and explore a method to follow its resonant frequency, which has important implication for the stable and highly efficient work of ultrasonic transduce.This paper has several contributions:the development, daily application and study background of the frequency automatic tracking technology based on ultrasonic irradiation are introduced. Then we introduce the piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric materials, structure of the ultrasonic vibration system and the impedance characteristics and impedance matching of the core part of transducer. The principle and the circuit of the automatic frequency tracking system are studied. In general, the study focuses on the design and implementation of frequency tracking and load matching circuit. This paper systematically researches the differential transformer bridging way, maximum power examining way, and current feedback way of automatic frequency tracking. We provide a design of driving circuit and related components based on previous studies.
