Nano-materials have many special properties which are different from traditional materials, due to its unique microstructure and a series of new photoelectric properties. Antimony sulfide and cadmium sulfide nano-materials, as important representative of nanometer semiconduct materials, which have potential applications in solar cell, photoelectric display device, thermoelectric materials. In this dissertation, Sb2S3and CdS nanocystals with different morphologies were synthesized under high temperature condition. The microstuctures and properties of the products have been characterized by XRD, EDS, Raman, TEM, SEM, UV-vis, PL et. The main results are summaried as follows:(1) Synthesis of the double cauliflower-like Antimony sulfide (Sb2S3) nanocrystals:The double cauliflower-like Sb2S3superstructures were prepared using SbCl3and Na2S□9H2O as raw materials, dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB, C15H31BrN) as surfactant under acidic condition at180℃for30h. The effect of reaction conditions including reaction time, temperature, surfactants and the ratio of S and Sb on the sample morphology were discussed and a possible mechanism for the formation of cauliflower-like Sb2S3was proposed. The cauliflower-like Sb2S3microcrystallines revealed broad spectrum response.(2) Preparation and properities of the multi-armed Cadmium sulfide (CdS) nanocrystals: The multi-armed CdS nanocrystals were easily achieved from molecular precursors (xanthate) in ethylene diamine (en) solution at140℃for12h by solvothermal method. The influences of the reaction time, temperature, solvent, concentration and excessive sulfur raw on morphology were discussed. A possible mechanism for the formation of multi-armed CdS was proposed. The photocatalytic activity with the different morphologies of CdS and catalyst recycling rate were investigate, and a possible degradation mechanism for CdS photocatalyst over RhB was proposed.(3) Synthesis of Cadmium sulfide (CdS) nanocrystals by water bath method:By using single-source molecular precursors, the multi-armed CdS nanorods were prepared in en at90℃for12h by water bath. Uniform spherical CdS nanoparticles was easily synthesized by water bath process using DMSO as solvent at80℃. TEM showed the diameter of the ball composed by bulk is about50nm. The CdS nanocrystals with different morphologies were obtained by solvent variation, the influence of reaction conditions was explored.
