| Since China entered the21st century, with the rapid economic development and the accelerated process of economic globalization, the operation mode and the competitive landscape of China’s oil industry has undergone enormous changes. Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company,which is a Branch Office of China National Petroleum Corporation, is an important oil and gas production base in southwest of China. To entire southwest region, The company’s development play an vital strategic role. After years of exploration and development, Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company has entered rapid development stage, but accompanied by inadequate reserves of crude oil, the high cost of tons of oil, higher management costs of market of production materials and finished products, and so on. The issues need to be addressed urgently.In this paper, we learned Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company’s actual situation, we applied advanced theoretical knowledge of material supply management and some of more mature material supply management mode into analysis of the company’s work, Using the survey, qualitative research methods, literature study and other research methods to analysis the Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company supplies in the new era under the management comprehensive. Finding the affection about the Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company supplies management problems. Studying the Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company’s material supply management improvement strategies accordance with relevant experience about its material supply management, combining with the actual situation of the Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company, from six aspects to improve the Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company’s material supply management, and provide safeguards and implementing measures for the Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company’s supply materials management improvements.
