With the development of the plate rolling mill technology and the demandfor rolled products, the volume and weight of plate mill production have becomebigger and bigger. In order to solve the problem of manufacture andtransportation about rolling mill housing,new sectional housing is researched,including the four part about top beam、 under beam and column. They areconnected by preload. Sectional housing which reduces the difficulties aboutmanufacture and transportation has a bright future.Based on a steel company’s parameters of the5000mm plate rolling-millof the sectional housing, and analysis the sectional housing about the stress,deformation, stiffness, modal and fatigue life. First half3D model of5000mmplate rolling mill housing was created and assembled by the Pro/E software, thenimported to ANSYS Workbench software through interfaces and finite elementanalysis. The position of stress dangerous point and section was found. Theinfluence of preload about the rolling-mill housing’s stress and deformationbetween beams and columns,and the best range of preload was got. At the sametime, the integral rolling mill housing was simulated. Made the modal analysisof the rolling mill housing,calculate the natural frequency and correspondingmode shape to avoid housing occur resonance effect at work. Analysis the boltpreload influence on the rolling mill in first three natural frequency and get theinfluence law. Finally, carry out fatigue life analysis of rolling mill housing.Inbest bolt preload,find the ifatigue life nfluence law by the diffirent rolling forceand blot preload.Through analysis conclude that:he sectional rolling-mill housing is similarto the integral rolling-mill housing in strength and stiffness at work, and themanufacturing and transportation problems are solved.Through the modalanalysis,calculate the natural frequency and corresponding mode shape,andprovide a theoretical basis for avoiding rolling-mill housing resonance androlling-mill housing dynamic design.Through the fatigue life analysis,get the influence law of rolling force and blot preload on frame fatigue life.
