This dissertation consists of two chapters, the first chapter is the study on chemical constituents of Ardisia corymbifera Mez var. tuber/era C.Chen, the second chapter is the study on chemical constituents of Eugenia caryophyllata Thunb.Ardisia corymbifera Mez var. tuberfera C.Chen is a Guangxi provinces’folky medicine of Ardisia of Myrsinaceae. The medicine functions are relieving swelling and pain, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis and dispelling wind-dampness. People used to treat diseases like sore throat, stomach pain, irregular menstruation, anemia, fractures, traumatic injury pain, rheumatism arthralgia. However, there was only one report about the chemical constituents of Ardisia corymbifera Mez var. tuberfera C.Chen. In order to clear its pharmacodynamic material basis, We conducted the study on chemical constituents, from which9compounds were isolated and all were structurally identified, including seven compounds3-9, which were obtained from this plant for the first time. The Eugenia caryophyllata Thunb is the plant from Myrtaceae Eugenia. The medicine functions are warming the middle and calming the adverse-rising energy, eliminating cold to stop pain, warm the kindey-yang, used in the treatment of the spleen and stomach cold, vomiting, hiccup, heart pain, impotence the cold palace and so on. However, the chemical investigation was almost on its volatile components. We tried to study the polar components, from which5compounds were isolated and5ones were structurally identified, including two compounds3and4, which were obtained from this plant for the first time.
