| Allergic rhinitis is the allergic reaction in the nasal mucosa that thehypersensitivity of body increases due to certain allergens, which belongs tothe type I allergy, as well as a common manifestation of respiratory allergy, sometimes with bronchial asthma exists at the same time. It is mostly15to40years of age people with the disease, and there are perennial and seasonaldifferences in clinic. In the past ten years, the incidence of allergic rhinitiswas significantly increased. The incidence of foreign statistics was between10%and25%, while China had a higher incidence,37.74%. Traditional Chinesemedicine believes that the main reason of the disease is that insufficiency oflung-QI and instability of skin surface, which result in the cold evil takingadvantage of a weak point and uncomfortable in nasal cavity. What’s worse, italso leads to conflict between healthy and pathogenic qi, then Pulmonary isobstructed, fluid dampness stagnants, hence the nasal congests. It’s an asthenicdisease in lung, spleen and kidney.Purpose:This experimental study was designed to study the effect of point applicationtherapy for allergic rhinitis rat model of Allergy inflammation, which explorethe role of point application therapy for the treatment in allergic rhinitis. The main observation is on the point application therapy’s influences on thedegranulation rate and serum IgE, leukotrieneD4(LTD4) and histamine content inperitoneal mast cells of allergic rhinitis rats, in addition, explore the effectof this method of treatment for allergic rhinitis in rats, providing scientificexperimental basis for clinical application to treat allergic rhinitis in pointapplication therapy.Materials and methods:Forty SD rats in a SPF grade, randomly divided into five groups:â… .the blankcontrol group;â…¡.model control group;â…¢.acupoint application group;â…£.Thewestern medicine group; â…¤.the control group with combination of Chinese traditional and Western.Except the first group, each group adopt the Ovalbuminsensitization method to copy the model of allergic rhinitis. And from ovalbuminexcitation date give different treatment intervention, administer continuouslyfor2weeks. After the experiment, observe the number of times that rats sneezeand scratching nose; observe the pathological changes of nasal mucosal sitesof rats in each group under optical microscope; use enzyme linked immunosorbentassay to detect the changes in the contents of IgE, leukotrienesD4and histaminein serum; Use morphological method to Judge the normal mast cells and changedmast cells, and calculate the peritoneal mast cell degranulation. Finally countand analyze the data of each group.Results:1. The number of times of rats sneezing and scratching nose:Compared with the blank control group, model group, acupoint applicationgroup, western medicine group, the combination of Chinese and Western controlof sneezing and nasal scratching frequency group rats were significantlyincreased(p﹤0.01), aving the statistical significance. Compared with modelgroup, acupoint application group, western medicine group, the combination ofChinese and Western control of sneezing and nasal scratching frequency grouprats were significantly reduced(p﹤0.01).2. The results of pathologic examination:Nasal pathological changes of the model control group of rats wereinflammation mainly, existing visible cilia lodging, adhesions changing or evenfall off, and each treatment group were significantly improved.3. The IgE, leukotrienes and histamine in Serum ELISA test results:Compared with the blank control group, the content of IgE, LTD4and histaminein other four groups in serum of rats increased significantly (P <0.01), meaningan up-regulation. Compared with the model group, the treatment of IgE, contentof both LTD4and histamine in rat serum group decreased significantly (P <0.01),meaning down-regulation. 4. The calculation results of peritoneal mast cell degranulation rate:Compared with the blank control group, other four groups of rat peritonealmast cell degranulation rate increased significantly (P <0.01), meaningup-regulation. Compared with the model group, peritoneal mast cells of rats ineach treatment group degranulation rate were significantly decreased (P <0.01),meaning down-regulation.Conclusions:1. Acupoint application therapy have an apparent effect on allergic rhinitis, significantly improving the allergic rhinitis model rats symptoms of sneezingand nasal scratching nose.2. Acupoint application therapy can effectively reduce the inflammation ofallergic rhinitis nasal mucosa of rat model.3. Acupoint sticking therapy can significantly inhibit the expression of IgE,thus reducing the allergy mediators involved in reaction.4. Acupoint sticking therapy can significantly inhibit the expression of LTD4and histamine, in order to reduce its causing physiological function disorder.5. Acupoint sticking therapy can effectively reduce the peritoneal mast celldegranulation rate, decrease the release of inflammatory mediators. |
