Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of Electro-acupuncture (EA) connected in series on Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy. Methods:Between Nov2012and Jan2013, eligible patients of66with cervical spondylopathy and neck pain were randomly assigned to the test group and the control group on the proportion of1:1. The test group uses EA connected in series methods on JiaJi, Jianjing, Quyuan, Houxi, Ludi3points.30minutes per time.10time is a course of treatment. Taking the post-therapy Clinical curative effect into consideration, the difference between inter-group and within-group as well as pre-therapy and post-therapy is observed. Evaluate with NPQ neck pain scale, McGill Pain scale, the clinical symptoms and signs points, analgecize marks.Do the statistical analysis with SPSS17.0software. Measurement data is expressed with mean±standard deviation (X±S). The count data is expressed with composition ratio (%). Measurement data groups comparison are analyzed with test (variance arrhythmia with t’test or rank sum test).comparison between before and after is analyzed with paired test or with Wilcoxon paired rank sum test. Category data groups comparison are analyzed with X2.Results:66qualified cases were included in this study, all of which were outpatients, Test group included33Patlents,with7males and26females, whose average age was49.85±10.48years and average disease duration was19.55±7.27months; The control group included33Patients, with6males and27females, whose average age was52.00±11.08years and the average disease duration was18.82±11.60months. In the comparability analysis of baseline characteristics of patients between the two groups, gender, age, disease duration, NPQ neck pain scale, McGill pain scale, The clinical symptoms and signs points, analgecize marks were not statistically significant (P>0.05), which shows the baseline data between the two groups were comparable. After treatment, NPQ neck pain scale scores, McGill pain scale scores, the clinical symptoms and signs points scores, analgecize marks were significantly lower than that before treatment (P<0.05, P<0.05), compare the difference between groups before and after treatment, we found that the treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.05).Conelusion:Clinical curative effect of the EA connected in series group was superier to that of the control group. This method is easy and simple, and is worth being extended.
