Experience Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment Of Thyroid Cancer Zhangpei Yu, Director Of Summary

Purpose:Professor Peiyu Zhang,director of oncology at Guang An Men Hospital,has studyed from the famous TCM experts on cancer,Professor Hongsheng Lin, Professor Daizhao Zhang. He has the focus on clinical work for nearly30years and is good at using the classical medicine to treat kinds of tumors, especially thyroid carcinoma,nasopharyngeal carcinoma,Brain glioma and so on. By summarizing the clinical experience and theory of Peiyu Zhang on TC,I want to share systematic thinking for TCM clinical treatment of TC.Methods:①The first part is literature review. By scanning ancient writings of TCM and modern literature, to summarize the understanding of morden TCM about thyroid carcinoma in disease name,etiology and pathogenesis, location, treatment and so on.②Experience summary of Professor Peiyu Zhang is the second part. Through nearly two years clinical learning with Professor Peiyu Zhang,I think and summarize the experience of Mr Zhang about the understanding and treatment to thyroid cancer.Results:①Strengthen the awareness and understanding of thyroid cancer from the disease name.②Analyze nature of disease of thyroid carcinoma from Yin and Yang to point out that the character of thyroid cancer is positive fire. The fire is in phlegm and retained fluid, blood stasis. So thyroid carcinoma not only has the properties of Yang, but also have the properties of Yin. And in its early stage, It is predominated by pathogenic excess.With progression of disease, It is intermingled by deficiency and excess.③From etiology and pathogenesis, Professor Peiyu Zhang thinks the toxin causing thyroid cancer is combined with stagnant air, Phlegm-damp, blood stasis and fire which is mainly caused by the disorder of qi-movement.④According to viscera,channels and collaterals, six channels, Professor Peiyu Zhang thinks the location of TC is mainly in the liver and spleen,also related to yangming channel, shaoyang channel and shaoyin channel.⑤In regard to the treatment, Professor Peiyu Zhang emphasizes that we should distinguish the nature of Phlegm-damp, blood stasis and fire to use medicine effectively. In the meantime, he says we should treat both principal and secondary aspect of disease.⑥Professor Peiyu Zhang specializes in TCM classical prescriptions and is good at using classical and current prescriptions. He summarizes some effective prescription to treat thyroid cancer such as green-blue-draining pill.Simiaoyongan decoction,four seas depression-soothing pill and so on.Conclusion:Professor Peiyu Zhang seizes the pathological characteristics of TCM about thyroid cancer to achieve good clinical effect. According to the systematic TCM’s understanding to thyroid cancer,Professor Peiyu Zhang provides an effective clinical guidance.
