COPD is a common disease of the respiratory system, with character of airflow obstruction, which can be prevented and treated. Progressive course of airflow obstruction is closely related to chronic inflammation of airway caused by toxic particle and gas.The incidence rate and mortality of COPD are very high and there is no curability by for now. COPD stabilization of effective treatment can relieve symptoms and reduce the risk,So the prevention and treatment of COPD has gradually become the research hotspot of modern medicine. Preventing the progress of diseases and defending recurrent disease of TCM in COPD stabilization treatment has a unique advantage. Objective:This study is a clinical curative effect observation about winter diseases treated in summer and exterior and interior combined therapy in stable phase of COPD.Method:Using randomized controlled clinical trial,170patients all came from the "winter diseases treated in summer"outpatient department of respiratory in Dongzhimen hospital attached to Beijing University Of Chinese Medicine in the period of2012,7to2012.9.All the patients in the stable phase of COPD and met the inclusion criteria, were divided into two groups randomly.83cases in the experiment group(treated with TCM granules in prescriptions and point application therapy) and87cases in the control group(treated with point application therapy). Point application therapy time:from the first day of moxibustion of2012, every point application was applicated for three days, once a day and2-4hours each time, the selected point were:Dingchuan, Feishu, Shenshu. The time of TCM granules in prescriptions application: from the first day of moxibustion, the TCM granules in prescriptions was applicated in seven days continuously in each phase of moxibustion and one dose a day. Recording the TCM symptoms scores, CAT, lung function, dyspnea index before and after the treatment, and analyzing the correlation between the variation of medicine dose and incidence rate of COPD exacerbation. All the data was statistically analysed with the application of SPSS17.0software.Results:In the second phase of the research,73cases in the experiment group and77cases in the control group were retained. Two groups of gender, age, and classification of lung function has no statistical significance before treatment. Comparative analysis within groups after treatment: TCM symptoms scores, CAT, dyspnea index, the variation of medicine dose, incidence rate of COPD exacerbation, all had statistically significant difference compared with those before (P<0.05),while the lung function improved little (P>0.05).Comparative analysis between the two groups:TCM symptoms scores, CAT, the dose of combined drug of the experiment group all had statistically significant difference compared with the control group (P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in the lung function, dyspnea index, incidence rate of COPD exacerbation (P>0.05)Conclusions:The results show that treatment of winter disease treated in summer associating with point application therapy and using point application therapy singly both can impose a positive impact on patients with stable phase of COPD. Treatment of winter disease treated in summer associating with combination of point application therapy and TCM granules in prescriptions, and using point application therapy singly, both can improve the life quality of COPD patients, and decrease TCM symptoms scores, dyspnea index, incidence rate of COPD exacerbation, the variation of medicine dose. The mixed treatment is superior to the point application therapy except dyspnea index, lung function, incidence rate of COPD exacerbation.
