Klebsiella Pneumoniae Clinical Features Of Sepsis Caused By TCM Analysis

Background:Sepsis is defined clear infection plus systemic inflammatory response syndrome(SIRS), with the emergence of resistant strains,modern research are mostly general understanding of the disease, and less on individual pathogens. Looking the etiology of bacteria as cause of disease of Trational Chinese Medicine(TCM). What the characteristics of sepsis caused by different bacteria, this observation will analyze the clinical characteristics of sepsis patients caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae(KP).Objective:The research analyzs the features of syndromes of KP infected and sepsis caused by KP, like age, gender, habits, underlying diseases, posistions of infections,then get the the evolution of disease from infected to sepsis and death,the results will guide treatments.Contents and methods:From Dongzhimen Hospital, Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Tianjin Chinese Medicine Hospital, Shandong Chinese Medicine Hospital, Henan Chinese Medicine Hospital, Beijing Friendship Hospital, we get123cases which meet the conditiont. There are46patients are diagonsed Spesis and7patients are died because of Spesis in123cases. Then analysis of clinical data by using SPSS17.0software package for descriptive statistics and analysis of count data using the chi-square test. Analysis of clinical features of KP infected,and clinical characteristics of sepsis and death caused by KP, after the analysing we get the clinical features of disease.Results:Aspects of TCM syndromes:KP belongs warm disease,fever,red or deeper tongue,polypnea,rapid or rapider pulse are the clinical manifestations, sepsis shows phlegm,blood,stasis,heat evil,Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency,Yin deficiency. Death in patients find expression in Qi deficiency, blood stasis. In total of123patients, elderly patients as the main object in KP infection, especially greater than70years old patients, accounting for52.8%of the composition ratio. Male patients is higher compared with women, accounting for65.04%. Smoking patients compared with patients infected with non-smokers, are easier infected,with the higher probability of infection of the lungs. KP infections are more common in patients with a normal BMI, accounting for52.8%. the presence of hypertension, stroke, diabetes, coronary heart disease are in the majority of these cases.There are46cases of patients who are infected KP developing sepsis, the incidence rate is37.4%, more than70years old of those infected develop a higher incidence of sepsis (65.2%), and they representing the death of the constituent ratio is85.7%. The incidence of sepsis caused by infected males is41.25%, higher than women, and more deaths than women. Main infection site of sepsis is respiratory tract or lung, constituting37.4%. Incidence rate of Lung infections developping sepsis is40.0%. In seven cases of death pulmonary infection constitutes57.1%, mortality rate of lung infection is66.7%.7deaths in patients with a history of smoking, constitute85.7%. Sepsis patients with a higher incidence in obese patients. More underlying diseases the patients have more complex the disease will be, and the cure rate is smaller.Conclusions:1. KP infection is belonged to a febrile disease areas, heat evil throughout exists in the whole process, from infection to sepsis to death,but the characteristics of heat evil has led to change in the body’s Qi,blood,Yin and Yang throughout the course of the disease, making the etiology and pathogenesis complex, and diverse syndromes.2. From KP infection to sepsis and death, whether clinical features of infection or morbidity or mortality are relate to age, gender, smoking, underlying diseases lung infections. The patients who are Older age,man,smoking,more underlying diseases,lung infection are in majority in infection, sepsis and death.
