The study on attention bias in social anxiety individuals lay a theoretical foundation for the treatment of social anxiety, most of the research Abroad was on social anxiety disorder, and they put forward some theory to support the attentional bias to the social stimulate is exist. However, the different components of attentional bias in social anxiety-vigilance or avoidance of threat-was still confuse, Two cognitive behavioral models of social anxiety disorder on this argument, Clark and Wells (1995) argue that social anxiety individuals avoid threat information, while the Rapee and Heimberg think social anxiety individuals vigilance social threat. In order to adjust the contradiction between the two model, the mechanisms of attentional biases proposed that Facilitated attention, difficulty in disengagement, and attentional avoidance comprise the components of attentional bias, facilitated attention and difficulty in disengagement was Closely linked to constitute the vigilance. Various Study use different tasks investigate the argument in attentional bias, but conclusion still differences.dot-probe task was usually used to investigate the attentional processes, the paradigm also present threat faces and neutral faces at the same time, then following a brief stimulus presentation duration, the stimuli disappear and a probe appears in a location previously occupied by one of the stimuli, test participants’RT to investigating the attention to social threat stimulate, the conclusion is different, dispute is still there. Later research has enhanced the eye movement technology and spatial cueing task to separate facilitated attention and difficulty in disengaging, also confirmed their existence. The aim of the present study was to investigate social anxious people whether vigilance or avoidance of threat information, this study separate facilitated attention and difficulty in disengaging. Experiment1investigate facilitated attention in social anxiety, this attentional process is automation. This study present threat faces and a probe at the same time, and get participants’reaction time for probe, the reaction time is a signal that interference by the faces, and show whether participants turned to the face faster and more easily. In addition, this experiment using of face:positive face, negative face and neutral face, to examining the processing of three types stimuli in individuals with social phobia and in healthy controls. Experiment2investigate if high social anxiety individuals have difficulty in disengaging attention from threat information, and if this is true, to investigate when the time course by four different SOA:100ms,300ms,500ms,1000ms.The results of the study of facilitated attention show that there is no difference between the three emotional faces in high social anxiety, individuals of high social anxiety is difficult to distinguish between three types face, and compared with the low social anxiety individuals, social anxiety individuals faster and easier to pay attention towards positive faces and neutral faces, the level of social anxiety between individuals have no differences for negative faces.Low social anxiety individuals only have facilitated attention to negative faces, but in high social anxiety, the facilitated attention was existed in three types face. The study of difficulty in disengaging revealed impaired attentional disengagement from threatening stimuli in socially anxious people, as social anxiety disorder individuals. Attention was disengagement from face stimuli in high socially anxious people than in low socially anxious people,it has no relating to the type of face and SOA of face, individuals with high social anxiety was difficult disengagement from faces when SOA is longer for1000ms than SOA is500ms, And for low social anxiety individuals, low social anxiety individuals more difficult disengagement from the positive face, rather than neutral faces, as well as the result of Experiment1, high socially anxious people treat the three types faces as threat, and it is not change with different SOA. This study is still flawed, further research can use more severe social anxiety individuals, and the use of other types of stimulation to conduct more in-depth exploration of social anxiety disorder or social anxiety Attentional Bias.
