Dagur, which is one of Mongolic languages spoken in the people’s republic of china, shows an interesting distribution of the velar consonants x and k. One of the four dialects of Dagur, Hailar, does show complementary distribution. On the other hand, another dialect, Butha, shows "distribution without any rules". Yu Shichang(1984) and Otake(2012) have pointed out this problem, but haven’t resolved any more.In general, the velar consonants x and k of Mongolic languages often distribute complementary (such as Janhunen(2003)), so we can regard Hailar dialect has kept the characterof the late middle Dagur. In this paper, using the idea as "the influence of fortis" or "spirantization" and so on by Otake(2012) and the other study on Mongolic languages, tried to reveal the distribution of the velar consonants in Butha dialect. On this "distribution without any rules", we have to figure two steps of phonological changes as after or before the influence of Manchu language. Then, we also have to consider two dimentions of phonological changes as the universal changes of Mongolic languages and the specific changes of Dagur language.
