| Based on Fang-Kuei Li(1954,1977),Yuan Jia-hua(1963),Liang Min, Zhang Jun-ru(1996), Yong-xian Luo(1997)’s studies, this article contrasts the consistency and the difference of retroflex/r/between Northren dialects of Zhuang language, Buyi language and Saek language. Then we borrow Pan Wu-yun(2010)’s approach of how to reconstruct real time sound shifts in the history of a language from the geographical projected distributions reflecting apparent time sound changes to analysis retroflex/r/. What’s more, we also reconstruct a series of Proto retroflex/r/in Northren dialects of Zhuang language so that we can provide a history reference for explaining the geographical projected distributions. This article expand the first method of Pan Wu-yun(2010)’s approach into all of98retroflex/r/words, then we can consider the changes of retroflex/r/words as a whole, so we regard the rate of changes as the purity of retroflex/r/.After comparing the purity of retroflex/r/with the map of Minority Distribution in Guangxi Antonomous, we arrive at a conclusion that the much more population density of Zhuang Minortity, the much more purity of retroflex/r/, the less population density of Zhuang Minortity, the less purity of retroflex/r/(eg.Guang Nan, Lian Shan). When putting retroflex/r/into the map of the geographical projected distributions, we come to the conclusion that the main stratum of sound shifts (r-/l-/j-γ-) is mainly distributed in the compact community of Zhuang Minority, and former stratum is located in the area of two or more minority living together or far from the base camp of Northren dialects of Zhuang language.Certainly, both main stratum and former stratum conform to the regulation of natural sound shift.Besides for borrowing the latest historical strata analysis theory, we also compare Northren dialects of Zhuang language with Buyi language and Saek language in the framework of Northren dialects of Tai language so that we can prove the rationality and the feasibility of our approach. |
