Creation of the musical image using harmony,①"one of the vital present method for many masterpieces of music, is a kind of art device to portray musical image by using of harmony means appropriately to express musicians’ thoughts and feelings and aesthetic taste." Taking the view of musical history, almost every major music revolution was start with harmony.Therefore, to some extent, if a composer is going to make innovation, it is essential to take musical in his hands. It can be proved that in specific music creation, regardless of the use of the traditional or the modern harmonies techniques, it cannot work without shaping the artistic image and the taste of composer himself. Hence, looking throughout the music creation, no matter which harmonies technique is chosen, they should be applied to the proper segment and could express the emotion and musical image of the composer to the listeners appropriately so that the music could strike a responsive chord in the hearts of its audiences. Ultimately, harmonies techniques work for shaping the musical image. In addition, looking throughout the Orient and the Western, the successful composers are all focused on both the employment of creating techniques and embedding the emotion of nation in their works to enrich the music with sense of times and characteristic of nation. Because of the unique geographical environment, the national religion, daily customs and ethnic aesthetic taste, in national fork music, the national spirit could be presented through a variety of subjects and genres forms. The success of a music should consist of not only compose techniques but also one core, the element of national folk music, which is the core competitiveness. The Mongolian famous contemporary composer, Si Ren Na Da mi De, his works were created base on the idea above. The number of domestic research on his works growth increasingly, but it is still blank that focusing on harmonic in his works. This paper are based on the two works of his Piano in12Mongolian folk songs collection and The mongolian folk song "Zodiac" Variations on the theme cello to analyze how the musician draw different era harmonies techniques from the West to Mongolian folk song.The paper is divided into five chapters. By using of the Morpheme (The music ontology analysis) and the Control Analysis (harmonic material are used in two different works) to analyze how the harmonies techniques and shaping artistic image are employed through various respects that the theme of material in the mode characteristics、harmony of materials of artistic expression、harmony of connection of artistic expression、music and body art expressive force and conversion of tonality to present how Si Ren Na Da mi De integrates the western harmonies techniques into Mongolian folk songs.
