Royal Tribute Painting of Qing Dynasty was created during the reign of Empire Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. It is the greatest one among Tribute Pictures. Royal Tribute Painting of Qing Dynasty introduced the geographical circumstances, local customs, costume features, religion and belief, language, history and culture of the nations and ethnic groups, which had communication with Qing. Royal Tribute Painting of Qing Dynasty not only provide plenty material to study the places all over the world, but also can be a reference for the diplomatic strategies of Qing Dynasties.The dissertation began with the concept of "Zhigong"(Tribute), gathered the historical materials related to Tribute Paintings, and discussed the issues about the creation and versions of Royal Tribute Painting of Qing Dynasty, which revealed the week link of the studies of Royal Tribute Painting of Qing Dynasty, the western figures. Through the description of28western figures from11different places, the dissertation focused on the relationship between these countries and Qing government, and Qing government’s attitude towards them. Besides, the dissertation summarized the art value of Royal Tribute Painting of Qing Dynasty, and the backward feudal ruling of Qing government was criticized.The dissertation not only paid attention to the western figures of Holland, England, France and Russia, but also focused on the minor figures from the countries which were not quite often seen. According to the written material and costume, the nations of the figures from the minor countries were presumed.
